Are there any special procedures for handling Bismuth-Phosphorus codoped fiber compared to Erbium-doped fiber (bending, splicing, compatibility with SMF ITU G. 652 fiber)?
BPDF is based on fused quartz and has core close to the standard SMF-28 fiber. The procedures for handling BPDF are very similar to the ITU G. 652 SMF (bending, cutting, splicing, etc.).
What is the wavelength of the diode required for pumping BPDF-SM-6/125-1320?
For pumping BPDF-SM-6/125-1320, we recommend using the range 1200-1250nm.
